Height: 48.00"
x 1.60" deep
Media: mixed media and spray paint
Surface: deep edge canvas
The most detailed so far of Paula Lundy's work, Into the moon-dust portrays a busy suburb of over 100 very textured houses spiraling ever smaller and disappearing into the moon-dust. The houses are very detailed and textured with raised brickwork and glass mirrored and enameled windows. The crescent moon in this piece is made to look industrialised by forming it from sheets of pewter. Blacks, greys, pewters and metallic silvers. Materials used in this piece are: spray paint, texture paste, glass, resin, silver leaf, glitter, pewter, acrylic, sand, enamel and varnishes. As with all of Paula’s pieces they change in different light due to the highly metallic paints, glitters and different textures. This piece has been finished with a layer of archival quality varnish.
